Bite Matters is our showcase of short contemporary works written for solo instruments.

All our Bites have been carefully selected amongst the submissions we received from our Bite Matters: Call-for-scores. We pride ourselves in being a partner of Sound and Music’s Fair Access Principles. We don’t just welcome all composers regardless of their backgrounds, but we also provide individual feedback to every composer who has submitted their scores.

“Most calls for scores barely inform the participants about the winners, so for me having feedback even when not being selected is really greatly appreciated.”
“Until now of all the [submissions] I have made, they have never given me so many details [in their feedback]!!”
“There can be typos, because of the hastily written score; thanks for finding one of them! :)”
“Thank you so very much for your email . . . I will make revisions based on your notes.”

“Thanks so much for your reply and comments. Not being a flutist, fingering tips and comments are very helpful!”
